FEDEP was founded as a result of high rate of illiteracy , poverty, unemployment, rural urban migration, malnutrition and lack of realization of self importance.
Having tasted and attested the power of poverty before, the founders envisioned to wage a lasting war against poverty. The Founders admit, “Indeed poverty is a very bad disease”.
Receiving formal education up to Basic, Secondary and Tertiary levels was truly by virtue or intervention of other people whom the founders always owe them greatest gratitude.
It was against this background FEDEP was founded to give back to the society and supplement the efforts of the government to alleviate illiteracy and poverty in the society and mitigate rural urban migration.
